[Many of you might recognize the face...with one noticeable difference.]
[No, there is nothing wrong with your monitors. Aya's armour has taken on a distinctly onyx hue, her construct skin darkened to a bluish tinge. Her eyes have darkened, and there is a certain distortion to her suddenly cold, calculated speech as she addresses the Network.]
It would appear the Admiral has refuses to accept my resignation gracefully. Not only that, he has taken note of my more recent enlightenment, and deemed a certain...change in ranks necessary.
Do not think I have forgotten this place. Time has passed, but I never forget. I only learn, and what I have learned is that your supposed redemption? Pointless. All life is pointless, because it will only ever lead you to Pain. I have learned this through experience.
In time, you will see that my mission is the only logical solution and release me from this insignificant inconvenience.
((ooc: Aya's back. Sort of. As an inmate. En...joy?))

What happened to you?

How long've you got, Steph?][A familiar face. One whom, at one point, Aya would have called friend. Steph had been kind to her and assisted her in many ways. She also had a Love. Kon. One who had once turned on Aya in the worst way. She had forgiven him then, because she had been naive. Now, she knew better. In time, Steph will most likely learn what she had.]
Many things.
You will have to be more specific in your question.

Okay, first off, why are you talking like that? All doom and gloom?

Aya, what's goin' on with you? Talkin' and lookin' like that?
[ Sadly his first thought is that boy must have hurt her. He wont question that though he figures it's just his romantic views again.]

This is how I have always appeared, Doyle.
[The name. One she once associated with family. Not unlike Hal Jordan, another fleeting presence in her life. She addresses Doyle with the same indifference as she had Hal. Indifference...yet also a hint of sarcasm.]
This form. This face. I have changed nothing.
Video
[ Do robot's freeze? No?]
Outside aside, darlin' you've change. What happened while you were away? I'm curious 'bout this 'enlightenment'.

That the notion organic beings experience known as emotions will only ever result in pain. A pain that leads to inefficiency and flawed logic.
That the Universe would be better off without them.

[A lot of thoughts go through his mind in the brief pause before he speaks and when he does... he... almost seems to have some of his old crispness and energy back.]
I understand. It is an enlightenment I, myself, had come to, that I endeavoured to pass on to my Daleks for... similar reasons.
What do you plan to do with this enlightenment, specifically?
(no subject)
Oh gawd, don't tempt him.

Re: Threadjack of Time Lord
I can't even say how much I want to call this the "Threadjack of Rassilon"
Perhaps if we say his name a few times he'll appear and make one. XD
Like Beetlejuice. Rassilon! Rassilon! Rassilon!

You didn't used to be so driven.

Pain is easily avoidable once you remove the ability to feel.
I was naive. Now I am not.

And what is your mission?

I will end all Life in the Universe...by ensuring that it never existed at all. No Life, no Emotions, no Pain.

I reject your logic. It is illogical to suppose that your unique personal experience should be extrapolated to the entire universe, including beings whose structure of thought and experience of the core elements of the cosmos are quite different from your own.
You may want to destroy the universe, but don't pretend you're doing people a favour.
no subject
This goes above and beyond my personal experience.
I have given the Sapphires the opportunity to prove my theory wrong. They could not. I have traveled to many star systems. And I consumed them all. [Just going to omit the part where they were all uninhabited systems.]
You claim to come from a race that worships Pain. Already, this tells me more of your thought process than any further explanation you could attempt to give.

I enjoy living.
But I don't enjoy hurting from attachment.
It seems that I'm a paradox by your analysis. [Accepting of this. He's failed to dull his own emotions.
[Private]
Not a paradox.
While it is true that Pain is not a perpetual state of being for the majority, you have reaffirmed my claim that it is a state all those with emotions experience.
I merely seek to free you from that state permanently.

I currently reside in my quarters.
It would appear the Admiral has seen fit to preserve its state precisely as it was when I left.

But he knows it won't have. Nothing ever resolves itself that way, and there's only one thing to do.
His expression is serious and steady, shut down, when he flips on the video.
Aya.
[ Video : Private ]
[She stares back, unblinking, at the face before her. Hearing his voice say those two syllables. Her name. And she remembers.]
[Except the memories mean little to her now, and so it makes no difference to her that he appears to be mirroring her closed-off expression.]
Ben.
